PR 6.3 - Vereda da Lagoa do Vento

This 1.8 km easy trail descends through lush forest from Rabaçal to reach the tranquil Lagoa do Vento, a river basin formed by water cascading from cliff tops above. The 1.5-hour walk passes after 1,600 meters to a fork in the path; continuing left for 300 meters reveals the majestic lake itself. The lagoa originates from Ribeira do Lajeado waters moving toward the Risco waterfall, creating a serene natural feature surrounded by endemic flora including Madeira blueberry and laurel species. This shorter trail provides a peaceful alternative for hikers seeking the quieter corners of the popular Rabaçal trail system.
