PS PR 3 - Levada do Pico do Castelo

Created in the first half of the 20th century, this 4.1 km moderate trail from Camacha to Graça Chapel takes 1.5 hours, built originally for agricultural rainwater harvesting. The route offers direct contact with typical Porto Santo landscapes at elevations between 210m and 80m. Multiple viewpoints reveal Porto Santo's coastline and the Ilhéu de Baixo islet, while the destination—Nossa Senhora da Graça Chapel built in the 1930s—provides cultural interest. From January 1, 2026, trail access requires 4.5-euro fee and mandatory reservations through SIMplifica portal with 30-minute entry slots.
